Elevate-KHS Pro Cycling Set for Return to Tour of Utah
The Elevate-KHS Pro Cycling Team is Proud to Accept an Invitation to Compete in the 2018 Edition of the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah.
Elevate-KHS Pro Cycling will be returning to “The Hardest Stage Race in America” in 2018 after accepting an invitation to the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah. The Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah is a 2.HC-rated UCI stage race which began in 2000 as an amateur race called the Thanksgiving Point Stage Race. After taking the moniker Tour of Utah in 2004, the race entered the UCI calendar in 2010 as a 2.1 ranked race before elevating to its current ranking in 2015.
In 2017, the Elevate-KHS Pro Cycling Team earned several strong results led by general classification rider and climber James Piccoli and sprinter Alfredo Rodriguez. James started things off for the team with a surprise attack on Stage 2 into Snowbasin that caught almost the whole peloton off guard. He was caught within 50 meters of the line, but hung on to take 3rd on the stage. Alfredo followed that up with a strong sprint on the difficult finish into South Jordan, UT on Stage 4 taking the podium for the team again with third on the day. James Piccoli would find the top ten again on Stage 6 setting him up for an overall top ten in the final GC.
James Piccoli and Alfredo Rodriguez will again lead the team in 2018 with both looking for that elusive stage victory. The final Elevate-KHS Pro Cycling roster will be announced shortly. Leading up to the race the team will spend time at altitude to acclimate to the conditions of the race and solidify the roster.
The entire route for the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah will be announced by the race organizers in the coming months. Up next for the team is the United States Professional Road Race and Time Trial Championships.

School Visits at Redlands Bicycle Classic
The Elevate-KHS Pro Cycling Team completed 3 school visits in conjunction with the Redlands Bicycle Classic. These visits are always a highlight of the athlete's experience at the event, and something that sets the race apart from others in the country. The excitement of school kids was palpable as the riders talked about being a professional athlete, riding safely on their bicycles, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Lucky for the kids and the riders, the students were able to come out and watch the race in Highland and cheer on their new favorite team, Elevate-KHS!
