FSA announce to be the new sponsor of team MTN-Qhubeka
Faced with the choice, the team had no doubts about choosing FULL SPEED AHEAD
Full Speed Ahead is glad to announce its collaboration with team MTN-Qhubeka for the 2014 racing season.
In 2013, Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung registered as Africa’s first UCI Professional Continental team. The debut season yielded sixteen victories, including the Milan San Remo classic, won by Gerald Ciolek. Other noticeable results include Louis Meintjes’ silver medal in the UCI World Road Race Championships under 23 race and Sergio Pardilla’s stage win in Volta a Portugal.
The teamhas a roster of 25 athletes for 2014 with 70% of them hailing from the African continent. Experienced riders like Linus Gerdemann and John-Lee Augustyn were brought in as reinforcements as the team looks to make its grand tour debut. Ingrained in the team’s DNA is the Qhubeka initiative, a charity dedicated to mobilising people in Africa on bicycles. The team’s goal is to develop an African world road champion.
The Qhubeka initiative to-date has distributed over 40 000 bicycles in Southern Africa.
The team will be using FSA handlebars, stems and seatposts from K-Force Light and Energy range:

- K-Force Light Seatposts, available with 25 or 32mm setback
- Energy Handlebars available in compact, new ergo and traditional shape
