The cable routing holes in my road handlebar do not line up with my preferred brake/ shift lever position, causing a kink in my cable housing and poor shifting. What should I do?

Unfortunately, not all brake/shift lever positions will be ideal for internal cable routing. In these situations it may be better to route the cable externally to avoid any harsh bends in the housing.
